Options span different markets and time zones
Options are traded in assets. These include commodities, indices, currencies and stocks. Basically you can trade anything that has a variable price over time. This gives you the opportunity to trade on something that you know and feel comfortable with before moving on to other areas that might interest you.
Examples of binary options include:
- Commodities: Gold, Silver, Oil, Sugar, Corn, Coffee, Cotton, Platinum
- Indices: FTSE-100, DAX-30, Dow Jones, Nasdaq Composite, IBEX-35
- Currencies: AUD/USD, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, NZD/USD, EUR/USD, USD/GBP, USD/JPY, USD/CAD
- Stocks: Vodafone, LLoyds, British Petroleum PLC (BP), Google Inc, Barclays PLC, Apple Inc, Telefonica SA
You can also add stock pairs to the list above. Where you bet on the price difference between the prices of two companies stock prices over time. The best place to see this in action is the StockPairs binary options broker.
Each broker will have a different number of assets available to apply your options skills on. Some have only a handful with others like Redwood Options having over 150 to choose from.
